Clinical Quality

As part of our quality programs we are committed to continuously evaluating and improving quality of clinical care and services in all settings. To ensure our members receive the highest quality of medical care at the most appropriate costs, we partner with providers, hospitals and third parties that have established clinical care guidelines based on national care guidelines. These guidelines focus on measures that are important to you, including:

  • Preventive care services such as breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings
  • Immunizations
  • Management of chronic conditions such as Diabetes and Heart Disease
  • Preventing infections after surgery and during hospital stays

The Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ) publicly reports a broad collection of healthcare performance measures, including those of the clinics’ and doctors’ within this health plan. Please visit the WCHQ website to learn how your clinic and provider are performing.

The Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) and The Leapfrog Group are two examples of organizations on a state and national level, which provide hospital quality data. To learn how your hospital is performing please visit the WHA website or The Leapfrog Group.
